Islam from the Language of the Prophet

What is Islam? The best answer to the question is given by the Messenger of Allah. Hz. Umar ibn al-Khattab (ra) narrates: Once upon a time, a man came to the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) with white clothes, black hair, and unlike someone who had traveled from the road, and whom none of us knew.

He snuggled next to the Prophet, sat in front of him, even put his knees on the knees of the Messenger of Allah (saas) and put his hands on his knees and said, “O Muhammad, what is Islam?” said.

Hz. The Prophet (pbuh) said to him, “Islam is to testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is His Messenger, to perform the prayer, pay the zakat, fast in Ramadan, and visit the Kaaba (hajj) when you can afford it. ”

Yes What is Islam? What we call a system of belief and morality. These beliefs and moral rules are a whole and do not change according to time and place. That is why we should act according to the truth, not the conditions, in matters of faith and morality.

As it is stated in the verse, although it is said to the Prophet, it is meaningful to address all of us and be straight. In other words, we will follow the truth in our beliefs, morals and actions, not our egos. That is Islam.
