While gratitude in lexicon means “knowing goodness and praising those who do good, being grateful to him”, in general it means “to express our gratitude for the blessings and favors that come to us from God or people and to respond with action.”
Yes, Allah wants to be grateful for the blessings He has given us. This truth is the greatest foundation of Islam. Being grateful increases the blessing, that is, it increases it. On the other hand, lack of gratitude causes the blessing to be lost.
Being Grateful Always
Thanks, It means “the servant’s gratitude to Allah for the blessings he has given, and showing this with his words and deeds”. Gratitude has been evaluated as a requirement of servitude in the Qur’an, and those who do not give thanks even though they are blessed with Allah’s blessings are condemned (A’raf, 7/10; Nahl, 16/78; Gafir, 40/61).

Our Prophet (saas) also considered the worship he performed as an expression of gratitude in return for the blessings bestowed by Allah. Muslim It is not only verbal, but also by believing wholeheartedly that the real owner of the blessings is Allah and using these blessings in accordance with Allah’s consent.
Gratitude for wealth is helping the needy, gratitude for knowledge is to use knowledge for the benefit of people, and gratitude for health is to serve Allah and serve people. Almighty Allah, in the 7th verse of the chapter of Ibrahim, says;
“I swear; If you are grateful, I will certainly increase my blessings on you…” He promised that he would give more blessings to those who give thanks.
In the continuation of the verse “If you are ungrateful, my punishment is severe!” He warned those who were ungrateful and threatened them with severe torment.
