Who Are the Companions Who Are Heralded With Paradise? Yes, the Companions who received this good news while they were in the world are called Aşere-i Mübeşşere.

Companions who were given the good news of Paradise were ten distinguished Companions and were given the glad tidings of Paradise by the Messenger of Allah (saas) while they were alive. All of these people were among the first Muslims and members of the Quraysh tribe.

These great Companions They are people who have made great contributions to the Prophet and the Islamic cause. As they were in the Battle of Badr, which the Islamic state waged against the polytheists, Hz. They pledged allegiance to the Prophet on the day of Hudaybiyah that they would protect him and Islam until the end.

These blessed Companions did not hesitate to oppose their closest relatives for the cause of Islam. There are works describing the lives of these blessed people, which we call Aşere-i Mübeşşere. There are rumors in authentic hadith sources and magazines about the virtues of these people and that they were given the good news of Paradise by the Messenger of Allah.

Who Are the Companions Who Are Heralded With Paradise?

The word “Ashere-i Mübeşşere” comes from the number 10 and refers to the 10 Companions who were given good news. Although this famous concept refers to 10 Companions, there are also rumors about other Companions.

Now let’s see who these 10 Companions are;

Hz. Abu Bakr (d. 634),

Hz. Omar (d. 643)

Hz. Osman (d. 655)

Hz. Ali (d. 660)

Hz. Abdurrahman b. Avf (d. 652)

Hz. Ebu Ubeyde b. al-Cerrah (d. 639)

Hz. Talha b. Ubeydullah (d. 656)

Hz. Zubayr b. Avvam (d. 656)

Hz. Sa’d b. Ebi Vakkas (d. 674)

Hz. Said b. Zayd (d. 671)

Said Ibnu Zayd (ra), one of these individuals, narrated and said that I heard the Messenger of Allah (saas) say: “Abu Bakr is in Paradise, Omar is in Paradise, Osman is in Paradise, Ali is in Paradise, Talha is in Paradise, Zubayr is in Paradise, and Sa’d ibni Malik is in Paradise.” Abdurrahman bin Awf is heavenly, Abu Ubeyde Ibnul-Cerrah is heavenly.”

Ravi says: Zayd also said the 9th and kept silent. His Listeners: “10. who?” they asked. Upon this request, “Said Ibnu Zayd!” So this was him. Zayd then added, “I swear by Allah that one of them being with the Messenger of Allah (saas) is better than one of you working all his life. Even if he is as tall as Noah (pbuh).” (Abu Dawud, Sunnah 9)
